The Product
What is NDEX?
NDEX is a patented handgun sight system designed around how people actually perform under stress. It eliminates the front sight post and the alignment step that traditional iron sights require. Instead of shifting your focus to align a sight picture, you index directly onto the threat. Your eyes stay where they need to be.
How is NDEX different from iron sights?
Traditional iron sights were designed for target shooting. They require you to focus on the front post, align it with the rear notch, then place that alignment on the target. That is three steps, and the first one pulls your attention away from the threat. Under real pressure, that process breaks down. NDEX removes it entirely.
How is NDEX different from a red dot optic?
Red dots reduce the alignment problem but introduce new ones. They rely on electronics, require batteries, can fail, and take training to acquire quickly under stress. NDEX has no electronics, no failure points, no batteries, and no setup. It works the moment you draw.
Is NDEX patented?
Yes. NDEX is protected under US Patent 9,915,501.
Does NDEX block the target?
No. That is one of the core reasons it was developed. Traditional iron sights use a front post that sits directly in your line of sight to the target, obscuring exactly the area you need to read to make a use-of-force decision. NDEX preserves your full view of the target.
Is NDEX accurate?
Yes. The system is designed to deliver fast, effective target engagement. It prioritises what matters in real-world conditions: speed, threat focus, and clarity, not range precision under ideal conditions.
Compatibility and Installation
What firearms is NDEX compatible with?
[PLACEHOLDER: Insert compatible platform list here once confirmed by Tyler/Aaron.]
Check the product page for the full and current compatibility list.
Do I need a gunsmith to install NDEX sights?
NDEX sights are designed for straightforward installation and fit standard dovetail cuts. If you are comfortable with basic firearm maintenance, installation is manageable. If you have any doubt, we recommend having a qualified gunsmith install them.
Will NDEX work with my existing holster?
NDEX sights have a low-profile design, but we recommend confirming holster compatibility before purchasing, particularly for kydex or form-fitted holsters designed around factory sights. If your holster accommodates standard aftermarket sights, it will likely work with NDEX.
Can NDEX be used alongside a weapon-mounted light or laser?
Yes. NDEX does not interfere with accessory rails or weapon-mounted lights. It operates independently of any attached accessories.
Learning and Transition
Will there be a learning curve switching from iron sights?
Less than you might expect. Because NDEX works with your natural instinct to look at the threat rather than against it, most users find the transition intuitive. The system has a lower learning curve than red dot optics and does not require you to unlearn fundamental shooting mechanics.
Is NDEX suitable for beginners?
Yes. In many ways, NDEX is a more natural starting point than traditional iron sights because it aligns with how people instinctively respond under pressure, rather than requiring a trained behaviour that can degrade when it matters most.
Is NDEX suitable for experienced shooters well-trained on iron sights?
Absolutely. The system does not ask you to abandon your training. It removes one step from the process and keeps your focus forward. Experienced shooters typically adapt quickly.
Who It Is For
Who is NDEX designed for?
NDEX was built for anyone who carries or uses a handgun in a real-world context. That includes civilians carrying concealed, law enforcement officers, and military personnel. If your firearm is a tool you may need to rely on under pressure rather than just at the range, NDEX was designed with you in mind.
Is NDEX suitable for concealed carry?
Yes. NDEX is well-suited to concealed carry applications. The system keeps your attention on situational awareness rather than demanding a precise sight picture, which aligns with how defensive situations actually unfold.
Do law enforcement agencies use NDEX?
