The book behind the brand

Before Tyler Grey built Saberdyne Systems, he nearly died in Sadr City, Iraq. Before that, he spent years at the sharp end of the War on Terror as a member of one of the most demanding units in the US military. Forged in Chaos is the account of who he was, what he lived through, what it cost him, and who came out the other side.

This is not a war story in the traditional sense. It is an origin story. One that covers identity, injury, addiction, recovery, and the particular kind of chaos that shapes people in ways they don’t fully understand until it’s over, if it ever is.

Tyler also introduces the concept of LTSD, Lack of Traumatic Stress Disorder, a theory he developed to describe something the clinical literature on PTSD consistently misses: that for many veterans, the struggle is not triggered by a traumatic event. It is triggered by the absence of the environment they were built to operate inside. This book is where that idea lives in full.
